B8. Substance Abuse

It is the policy of Gibbys Electronic Supermarket to provide our employees with a safe and healthful workplace.  In order to do so, the following policies will be strictly enforced. Employees are prohibited from possessing or being under the influence of alcohol and/or illegal drugs during working hours.

The sale, possession, transfer or purchase of illegal drugs on company property or while performing company business is strictly prohibited.  Such action will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement officials. The use, sale or possession of an illegal drug, alcohol or controlled substance while on duty is cause for immediate termination.

Prescription drugs may only be brought on company property and/or used by the person for whom they are prescribed.  Such prescription must be used only in the manner, combination and quantity prescribed.
