B4. Grooming & Dress Code

All employees of Gibbys Electronic Supermarket are to adhere to the following policy with regards to the dress code to present a professional atmosphere and for your safety.

Sales Staff

  • Hair is to be clean and presentable at all times.

     

  • Facial hair is to be properly groomed and trimmed.

     

  • The body is to be washed and deodorized.

     

  • The use of colognes, perfumes and aftershaves are to be minimal, mild and non-offensive.

     

  • Breath and teeth are to be cleaned and fresh.

     

  • Hands and nails are to be clean.

     

  • Proper business casual style shoes or dress shoes, black or brown in color cleaned and polished.  Running shoes need to be approved by management prior to wearing.

     

  • Only Gibbys Electronic Supermarket corporate logo golf shirts are to be worn and will be provided to you at a cost of $25.00 each plus applicable taxes.  Payroll deductions are available. Corporate shirts are to be clean and pressed. Shirts are to be tucked into pants with a belt. Seasonal Gibbys T-shirts that are provided to you can also be worn, but are not to be hanging past your belt line, otherwise they are to be tucked into your pants.

     

  • Properly fitted pants are to be worn and can be a dress pants, khakis or plain denim with no rips, holes, frayed bottoms. No acid washed denim, no tie dyed.

Shipping & Receiving Staff

    • Approved safety toed shoes with steel shank are to be worn at all times during your shift.

    • Properly fitted pants are to be worn and can be a dress pant, khakis or plain
      denim with no rips, holes, frayed bottoms. No acid washed denim, no tie dyed. Sweat pant, track pant or derivative thereof are unacceptable.

    • Seasonal Gibbys T-shirts that are provided can be worn or your own shirts provided they do not have rips, tears or offensive pictures and/or words.

    • Approved work shorts are permitted, however they must be approved by management prior.

Home Installer Staff

  • Approved safety toed shoes with steel shank are to be worn at all times during your shift.

  • Store provided coveralls are to be worn when needed

  • Hard helmets are to be worn as required with your install

  • Hair is to be clean and presentable at all times.

  • Facial hair is to be properly groomed and trimmed.

  • The body is to be washed and deodorized.

  • The use of colognes, perfume and aftershaves are to be minimal, mild and non-offensive.

  • Breath and teeth are to be cleaned and fresh

  • Home install Gibbys t-shirts/seasonal t-shirts are provided and are to be worn as part of your uniform, especially when installing in clients properties.

  • Properly fitted pants are to be worn and can be a dress pant, khakis or plain denim with no rips, holes, frayed bottoms. No acid washed denim, no tie dyed.

  • Approved work shorts are permitted, however they must be approved by management prior.

Internet & Office Staff

  • Hair is to be clean and presentable at all times.

  • Facial hair is to be properly groomed and trimmed.

  • The body is to be washed and deodorized.

  • The use of colognes, perfume and aftershaves are to be minimal, mild and non-offensive.

  • Breath and teeth are to be cleaned and fresh

  • Properly fitted footwear is to be worn that has a good solid thick tread with no rips or tears. Slip ons or flats are not to be worn in the summer months.

  • Properly fitted pants are to be worn and can be a dress pant, khakis or plain denim with no rips, holes, frayed bottoms. No acid washed denim, no tie dyed.

  • Sweat pant, track pant, yoga pant or derivative thereof are unacceptable.

  • Leggings are allowed, however they must be solid black and thicker so that they are not see threw. They must also be worn with a top that is long enough to cover your behind.

  • Seasonal Gibbys T-shirts that are provided can be worn or your own shirts provided they do not have rips, tears or offensive pictures and/or words.

There is to be no deviation from the grooming and dress code policy. Management has full discretion to send you home if not dressed appropriately and ask you to change or you can be sent home for the day without pay.

It is the employee’s responsibility to maintain their personal hygiene, grooming and dress appearance throughout the work day. Employees should review their overall appearance and hygiene after all breaks and lunch period. Persistent disregard of the grooming and dress code policy will result in further disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
