A5. Pay Cheques

Pay Cheques are distributed weekly on Wednesdays and are calculated from Sunday to Saturday for hours worked.

In the event that Wednesday is a statutory holiday, pay cheques will be distributed on the Tuesday prior to the holiday date.

Gibby’s Electronic Supermarket does not offer direct deposit or payroll advances.

Pay Cheques will only be released to the name in which the cheque is created (the employee). Should an employee request that a cheque be picked up by a third party the employee must submit in advance to accounting the name and date of the individual who will be picking up the cheque on their behalf.  The request is to be written and signed by the employee. The individual identified will be required to present ID to receive the cheque.

Any cheques that are lost by the employee which need to have a stop payment made and re-issued, the employee will be charged the banking fees charged to us for issuing the stop payment.
