Last Updated: November 5, 2019

Gibby’s Electronic Supermarket has several different rates of pay for the various departments and positions within each area.

Hourly Employees

    • An employee’s hourly rate of remuneration is determined and agreed to at the time of employment.

    • Sales employees shall be entitled to a training period of 4 weeks for which they will receive an hourly rate of pay.  The rate of pay will be determined and agreed to at the time of employment. Upon completion of the 4 weeks remuneration will be based on commission only.

    • Hours to be paid are determined by your work schedule.  Should your hours worked vary from your hours scheduled on any given day you must have them authorized by your manager.  Your hours worked will be verified each week by your Manager and be submitted to payroll.

Commission Employees

  • Commission rates are established by management, calculated on the gross margin of products sold.  Commission rates are subject to change at anytime, and can vary based on product type at management’s discretion.

  • Commission is paid out weekly to sales employees upon their accurate completion and submission to the Store Manager, of their weekly Commission Reports.

  • It is the responsibility of the employee to submit commission reports in the accurate format and on time.  Failure to do so will result in commissions not being paid within the submission time period.

  • Gibby’s Electronic Supermarket may choose to introduce various commission arrangements designed to remunerate the employee fairly.  Any changes in commission arrangements will be effective 14 days after written notice to the employee.

  • Upon termination of employment, commissions are paid only on product that has been paid in full and picked up by the customer and or paid in full and completely installed as of the date of termination.

Salary

  • An employee’s salary is determined and agreed to at the time of employment.
