A8. Statutory Holidays

Gibby’s Electronic Supermarket recognizes and observes the following statutory holidays, in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
New Year’s Day
Family Day
Good Friday
Victoria Day
Canada Day
Labour Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Boxing Day
To qualify for Statutory Holiday pay, the employee must work their full scheduled shift before and after the Statutory Holiday.
With the exception of Boxing Day, Gibby’s Electronic Supermarket is closed on all Statutory Holidays.
All Staff are scheduled to work full hours of operation on Boxing Day, without any exceptions.
Employees working on Boxing Day will be paid public holiday pay
